Natalia Akoskin

I was born in 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a mother, dancer, somatic arts educator, holistic reflexologist, neurotherapist, and researcher in the neuroscience of movement. I am the creator of the Natural Language Method, a practice of subtle movement and conscious stimulation.

My career spans over twenty-five years, integrating performing arts, somatics, and health. My practice traces a sensitive map where movement arises from pause and self-observation, weaving connections between body and awareness. I accompany processes of personal and artistic transformation and growth, integrating the physical, psychological, and emotional dimensions.

My training has been nourished by experiences throughout the Americas. I studied at the Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico and trained with renowned teachers in various countries.

My professional foundation is rooted in dance (Graham technique, Contact Improvisation, expressive movement, Argentine and Latin American folklore, and tango), somatic education, movement awareness techniques (Feldenkrais Method, Eutony, Antigymnastics, among others), yoga, recreation, and music. I have complemented this foundation with extensive knowledge in neuroscience.

With a strong academic background and international reach, my work has developed primarily in Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia, and has extended to Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and the United States, where between 2001 and 2013 I conducted research, training programs, workshops, and performances.

Teaching over the past 25 years has meant engaging with many different bodies—each one a great teacher. For me, education is a space of reciprocity, a place to share the passion for learning and teaching. As a choreographer, educator, and therapist, my work crosses borders, but my center lies in listening to the body and in art as a bridge.

My search is constant—I dance, train, and explore daily through my body. It is the most honest tool I can offer. I share an experience, a way of being, a passion.

I currently live in Tulum, Mexico, where I continue my creative, teaching, and therapeutic work, weaving awareness through embodied movement.
